Within a 12 yr. span I've been to many allergy centers and doctors to help get my system balanced. I was getting 4 various allergy shots for 3 yrs. (weekly) until I graduated to every 3 weeks. I still was not back to being myself, I was basically a healthy type person-running, workouts and volleyball but my health was still not what it was prior to the ivy incident.
Then an amazing thing happened, I came to IHC and met Dr. Lisa Rhodes, Today (06-12-02) I am medication free and can say my body has not felt this good since I was in high school (25 yrs. ago ).
IHC works, if you give yourself a chance, be patient, and open your mind. Follow what you are told so you too can start feeling better.
I can't say you will have the same results as myself but your body will be on the healthy path and that is a big start. Another good thing at IHC is the staff, always professional, nice and smiling, that makes a difference.
Thanks, Lisa, Cathy, Jen, Nicole, Kitty and Staff.
I have had acupuncture treatments from IHC two times, a few years ago for a knee injury and most recently for tendonitis in my elbow. After about two months of trying to take it easy on my arm, I finally made time to go for 3 visits over a week or so, which results in almost total removal of the pain. After a single follow-up a couple months later I would say I'm back to full strength.
The knee was even more dramatic, as it was injured in karate class and was bad enough that I was considering surgery. That time I came in after only a few days, again for 3 visits over a week, with the same removal of pain and quick return to full use.
The needles don't really hurt, maybe a little stick when they are first tapped in, but after a few seconds you can hardly feel them. They are very thin, and placed with a very gentle touch. While they are in, the lights get turned down and you lay on a table and relax. You can't feel it when they are taken out - there's not much to it really as far as discomfort. I heartily endorse acupuncture as an alternative to surgery for "strain" or "sports-related" injuries.
